Top 10 Albums of 2003!
This list has been made by me and are based on my opinion. I encourage you to check out some of the music mentioned. Enjoy the best of 2003!

10. Chutes too Narrow - The Shins | This new band has released a solid freshman album that is worth checking out.

9. Think Tank - Blur | Blur is back and sounding even better than before. I absolutely love "Crazy Beat".

8. Boy in Da Corner - Dizzee Rascal | Some people know I've always liked British rappers but Dizzee is by far the best. This is by far the best new rapper of the year, no not 50. Boy in Da Corner is a solid cd all the way through.

7. Kish Kash - Basement Jaxx | Yes, Basement Jaxx are back with another great bass rockin and fun cd. If you like a little techno mixed with just about anything and are not really into the more serious music Basement Jaxx is probably something you might like.

6. Permission to Land - The Darkness | The Darkness is awesome. Permission to land is just amazing. If you like 80's hair rock mixed with vocals that somewhat remind you of Freddie Murcury rocking out, this is the band. Permission to Land is a solid album all the way through and has some great songs that stand out like "I Believe in a Thing Called Love".

5. Films About Ghosts - Counting Crows | Yes, best of albums do qualify on this list if they include new material. Best of Counting Crows...enough said. "Enstein on the Beach" is one of the new songs on the cd and is probably my favorite Counting Crows song.

4. 12 Memories - Travis | I'm extremly glad I got ahold of this cd. Look at an earlier post I made reguarding the Best New Bands of 2003 for more description on the band. The cd itself is great. You should add this to your collection.

3. Speakerboxxx & the Love Below - Outkast | If you've listened to the radio in the past few months you have heard of Outkast. This double cd is THE rap album of the year.

2. In Time: The Best of R.E.M. (2 Disc set) - R.E.M. | Yes, another best of cd. I know it's not quite fair but hey, the new songs rock too. Bad Day is one of the bands most popular US singles since "Losing My Religion" (on the cd too). "Animal" is a new song that simply rocks. Classics on this cd include: "What's the Frequency Kenneth", "Electrolite", "Orange Crush", "Stand", At "My Most Beautiful" and more.

1. Hail to the Theif - Radiohead | Radiohead is a band who continues to push music to new places. After Ok Computer, Radiohead has been pushing new sounds in a completely diffrent direction. Kid A was the first example of this new direction. Hail to the Theif seems to be the final accomplishment in this musical movement. Although the only single that got any airplay in the US was "There There", there were other notable songs such as "2+2=5", "Go to Sleep", "Sit Down, Stand Up", and "Myxomatosis".

Song of the Week
Modern English - Melt With You
Going back to an oldie but goodie this week. Not much to say on this one since I worked mostly on the album list.
