Muxtape

Recently many sites that I read have been talking about Muxtape. At first I didn't really think anything of it but after checking it out I can see that this could be really useful. You can upload any 12 songs from your collection and share them via feed from the site it creates for you. Take a look at my muxtape and let me know if you create your own!

I've also been reading these stories about muxtape recently and I can't deny there are some well chosen mixes on there. But really I fail to see what all the fuss is about, I've been uploading music to imeem.com and making mixes for over a year now, and there's no 12 track limit or anything.

muxtape is like people getting all excited about razor scooters, yes they are simpler and more low tech than a car, and fun, but not practical for things like... heading out to the mall to buy groceries.

I also was reluctant to even use it because I have been using other services instead as well (ex: seeqpod playlist as seen on this blog).
I think the thing with muxtape that is making it a buzz item right now is simply the nostalga of a mixed tape. That and the simple clean design of the site. I've never used imeem. However upon visiting the site, the giant pink banner and advertizements for hip-hop-pop everywhere immediately turned me off.
Just my opinion.
