David Beckham has signed a 5 year $250,000,000 contract to play for the LA Galaxy. Currently there is a debate on whether or not this was worth the money. To give my opinion, I say yes. This is the last shot for the MLS or any other professional soccer organization to make it big in the US. If Beckham can't make soccer more popular in the US, nobody can. It will be interesting to see if soccer TV ratings improve over the next year or two.
