5 Free Awesome Downloads
Here are 5 awesome downloads for your computer. These are all completely free and legal. Let me know if you enjoy these or anything else from my blog. The more people I know read it the more I will update it.
1. Firefox - If you don't have this free web browser yet you have no excuses not to get it now. It's faster and more powerful than IE. There are a few small features not supported that IE does but for 98% of web browsing this is the best way to go. Firefox comes with a built in pop-up blocker as well as the google search bar. One great thing I really love about Firefox is the ability to add in extentions. I love to use mouse gestures. Once you use mouse gestures while surfing the net it's hard to surf without them.
2. Sphere XP - This nice program gives xp a completely diffrent look. This will transform your flat desktop into a 3d spherical world that you control with your mouse. This is a really awesome way to change the look and feel of windows. I can't wait for multi-monitor support.
3. WinBar - If you are not using sysmetrix and want a program that will give you lots of system information as well as news tickers, winamp players, and more, check this little freebee out. I was very impressed for the time that I use it but am still using sysmetrix for weather updates. I am considering using another program for weather and using WinBar though. If you're not using either check them both out and decide which one you like best.
4. AVG Anti-Virus - Virus protection is something everyone is crazy about these days. Norton and McAfee can cost a bit of money though. AVG is completely free. All you have to do is register using an e-mail address. It's pretty pain free and it's a full featured anti-virus program. You can't beat that.
5. Rainlendar - If you havn't used Rainlendar yet you should. This little desktop calendar is great for keeping track of what day it is as well as important events. It's a small little skinable program that will just sit on your desktop and use basicly no system resources. This is definately a can't go without program.
